Experience Prior To The Program

My interest in pursuing a career in finance was sparked during my freshman year of college but I had little knowledge and no work experience. I joined the Analyst Prep Program to strengthen my technical skillset and gain experience working on real-life projects so that coming back to school as a sophomore I would be a step ahead of my peers prepared for junior summer internship recruiting.

Training Experience

The intensive training program covers multiple types of financial models and valuation methods. Starting with no modeling experience, I can now comfortably build in-depth models and apply multiple valuation techniques. I feel fully prepared to recruit for future internships with this skillset.

The Analyst Prep Program gave me valuable experience and technical skills that I otherwise would not have. I am very confident that I will be able to place into top firms because of this experience.

Internship Experience

During the internship, I was assigned real-world companies to analyze and produce investment recommendations on. I focused on the ed-tech sector which gave me a deep insight into the industry. I will be able to speak on these projects in future interviews to display my technical knowledge and industry research ability. Reviewing these projects with Michael Ganian and Mr. Romero gave me insight into better modeling and presentation practices and strengthened my ability to produce client-ready work.

Mentorship

The mentorship aspect with Mr. Romero was very helpful. On the technical side, he is very knowledgeable and gives great insight into best practices and stock analysis. On the career side, he knows what it takes to obtain sought-after finance roles and prepares you to produce high-level work. He is willing to tell you about his experience working on Wall Street and learning from his mistakes.

Career Development

By completing the training program and internship, I now have the ability to produce high-level work that future employers will expect. During the training program, I was also able to have my resume reviewed and edited to best present my experiences and skillset that employers are looking for.

Final Remarks

Overall, the Analyst Prep Program was a great opportunity. Given that the recruiting process for top-level finance positions is so accelerated, it gave me valuable experience and technical skills that I otherwise would not have. I am very confident that I will be able to place into top firms because of this experience.
