Experience Prior To The Program

Prior to joining the Analyst Prep Program, I had limited experience in finance. I had completed real estate and wealth management internships in the years prior but lacked a fundamental understanding of capital markets and the skills needed to excel in the financial services sector.

Training Experience

I found the technical skills developed to be, by far, the most valuable part of the training. The information and level of detail that the financial modeling and valuation assignments go into are second to none. Moreover, the techniques and best practices shown to us are crucial as we strive to not just be great analysts, but detail-oriented and time-efficient ones too.

Having now completed the program, I see that the return on investment is greater than I could have imagined.

Internship Experience

The internship experience was an excellent opportunity to utilize and strengthen the skills learned in the Analyst Prep Program. Using financial analysis techniques, I was able to study and set accurate price targets on companies such as NVDA, TSLA, and MSFT which all hit in a span of 1-3 months.

Mentorship

Luis Romero’s content on career exploration, preparation, and interviewing were all extremely insightful. Moreover, his unique perspective as someone who has achieved successful roles in both a bulge bracket bank and hedge fund helped me pursue my goals more effectively than I could have imagined.

Career Development

As someone who lacked the necessary technical skills to succeed in a financial/investment analyst role, I found the career development and re-branding process to be vital to my career pursuits. For example, communicating to hiring managers through my resume that I am well-versed in financial modeling and valuation will help me land interview for full-time roles in the future.

Final Remarks

My final remark is that the program is excellent in every way. Having now completed it all, I see that the return on investment is greater than I could have imagined - not just in the sense of opening up high-paying career opportunities, but also in the investing knowledge you will build that will allow you to analyze companies to determine if they fit your portfolio standards or not. To any student hesitant about joining, I can assure you that no other program will come close in level of detail or focus on best practices like Romero Mentoring will.
